Two Suns
2024

Photo Access, Canberra

Two Suns continues an investigation into the material possibilities of the photographic process, creating a series of silver gelatin prints that occupy and unsettle the space separating the analogue and digital, the visible and unseen, and the legible and indefinite.

Using smartphone images capturing ‘moments before disappearance’ as source material, the prints are each the echo of an unfolding process of translations and manipulations, taking what was a fixed record of time and ‘unfixing’ these images to allow for a continuous series of transformations and interactions with both physical and immaterial matter.

Silver gelatin prints, variable sizes.
